Continuation of last post.....

The Chipko Movement...

The Chipko Movement was a movement that took place in Rajasthan in 1973. The main aim of this movement was to prevent large scale deforestation. It was started by Sundharlal Bahugana to prevent the cutting of trees. The villagers along with Amritha Devi started hugging trees and many risked their lives to protect the trees from deforestation. This movement shows us many qualities embedded with it. This movement shows that we should protect trees because the are very precious and without trees , there would be no shelter , no food , no fire and mainly no oxygen for us to breathe.

So let us take a measure together to make this world a better place and stop cutting trees and start planting seeds!!!!
